"3 Scrappy Boys" Blog Hop

If you are participating in the "Scrapbook Challenges" Blog Hop, click HERE, or much better scroll down one post!

Hi! Today is a fun day at  3 Scrappy Boys since we are having our first blog hop! The current DT term started this May with four new designers. Therefore, this Blog Hop is taking you to each of the DT blogs in an effort to get to know us a little better.

If you are just arriving at my blog make sure you head over to the 3 Scrappy Boys blog to begin. This is such a great and talented team. I do not want you to miss all the pretty layouts and/or projects and opportunities to win!

For this blog hop, each designer is free to share layouts, challenges or projects with kits or products available at 3 Scrappy Boys! Awesome, isn't!

For the people who do not know me, I am Yara! I live with my husband and my two boys (5 and 7) in Puerto Rico. I am a stay at home mom. I started scrapping in 2003 when I had to be on bed rest from my first pregnancy. However, it was not until the beginning of 2010 that I started sharing my scrapbook projects with the online scrapbook world. I feel that by participating in sketch challenges and other challenge blogs I had grown as a scrapper.

I love to do 12 X 12 scrapbook layouts. I love to do boys pages, but travel pages too. I love to use flowers at my layouts, therefore I like to scrap about me also. Sometimes, I do clean and simple cards.

I am a morning scrapper, I scrap mostly during the mornings (week days) when my kids are in school. My favorite manufacturers are so many: Crate Paper, Cosmo Cricket, Pink Paislee, Echo Park, Sassafras Lass, Lily bee Design, Bo Bunny... that does not makes sense to list them all! LOL!

I am not a technique person, except for fussy cutting, that's it!
I just love to layer lots of papers and embellishments in a beautiful way. Recently, I self discovered, that I cannot scrap a layout without a least three different patterned papers. You will see, I like to mix several textures and manufacturers in my layouts.

Next up is our sale for today...past kits has been marked down and the quantities are very limited...so go on over and get your shop on...there are lots of good deals to be had! And the very requested October Afternoon 5 & Dime is in stock at 25% off. You should not miss this!

Last but not least is my recipe challenge for this weekend...you will have until Sunday to upload your entry... I made it easy... I just want you to play with us...so without further adieu...

Here is what I want to see on your layout:
- at least two buttons
- at least three patterned papers
- bonus: use at least one die cut patterned paper

Here is one of my examples...I used the April 2011 Main Kit that features Cosmo Cricket "Social Club".
This is a boys layout, but it is really a scrapbook layout about me! Now I am sharing something about me, that I had not shared before!

First, this is one of my favorite movies so far, especially for the special effects. I am not a fan of eating at fast food restaurants. But, I have a confession, I do not care to buy happy meals to my boys when the toys are from movies I like! LOL! Yes, this is the little girl in me!

Second, do you see the photos's background. Yes, these are my scrapbook albums.

For this layout, I used a sketch from Once Upon a Sketch challenge blog.

There are lot more challenges at 3 Scrappy Boys Forums, in addition to very explanatory and useful tutorials of techniques and tools like the "Sew Easy". Hope to see you there!

OK... I will not talk more...your next stop in the blog hop is...

the very talented Aubree.

Wishing you a happy weekend!
