Hi! Today is my turn to reveal my take in The (Paper) Trail Makers Rain / Water Challenge!
I admit that this was a difficult challenge to me, since where I live spring is not associated with rain. At the caribbean, we do not use rubber boots due to the warm weather. We use crocs when it rains. Most of the time, rain is short-lived. We could experience 30 minutes of heavy rain, then the sun comes out. And you could not tell about the rain!!
But fortunately, I have several photos from splashing stations at theme parks. So I went to that route.
And, they say april showers bring may flowers. This is so true here!! Where I live, there is a lot of yellow oaks and they flourish during our spring season. They are so beautiful!
This month, all designers were free to use any paper collection from the Leave a Trail Store. I combined my photos with one of my favorite paper collection from all times, a Sassafras Indie Girl kit. This layout shows my son enjoying himself at Toon Lagoon!
I liked the combination of sassafras self adhesive button in a stitch blossoms - deep blue with the ScrapMatters Krisi's Kreations; Create It Yourself: Flowers V.1. I used this template for the green flower shown below. The advantage of using this templates are that you can create flowers in the size needed with any patterned paper. The blue flower was used as a center.
In addition, the random blue flowers helps in the whimsical movement of my son jumping in the splash station. Hope, it does not mind in the near future. I just cannot help it. I love using flowers at my layouts! LOL!
I used a Valerie Salmon's sketch for April Sassafras Blog's challenge.
There is plenty of time, to submit your project for this challenge. Due date is April 30 at 5:00 PM. I will love to see your take in the challenge!
Happy Easter everyone!
