Sadly, this is my last reveal as a design team member of Sketchabilities. I could not reapply for a second term due to conflicts with another sketch design team from which I am currently a member. If it wasn't for this, I would had reapply in a heartbeat!
Anyway, I will stalk the Sketchabilities blog the 15th and 30th of every month. And, I will continue creating with Sketchabilities sketches as time permits as a follower. I just love karan's sketches. They are too good!
I still remember the excitement when I received Karan's acceptance email. Sketchabilities was my second design team. Did you know that, I received the acceptance letter on my birthday? What a perfect gift!!!
I still remember that I was celebrating my birthday with my family at my house and it was late already. Everybody was gone, and I was just in my pajama ready to sleep. Then, when I checked my email I could not believe what I was reading. I read the e-mail like twenty times. It was a total excitement!!!!
Well, now to focus in the sketch! Here is the fabulous sketch created by Karan:
Love it! This sketch is great for multi-photo layouts and for using those beautiful die cut patterned papers. Love that it allows to place lot of embellishments, and that it is perfect for spring!
I used my 3 Scrappy Boys March Trio kit to create this layout about Diego and my mom's dog. He just adores this dog. We do not have pets at our house except for two beta fish. Why? Honestly, I know that the full responsibility of any animal will fall on my shoulders. I do not feel ready for an additional responsibility yet.
Anyhow, I love that my mom has a dog. I like that we live a 10 minutes walking distance from my mom's house. Therefore, my kids can satisfy their pet's needs with my mom's dog. And, the love is mutual. My mom's dog loves to play with my kids, too.
The patterned papers are from Studio Calico "Countryside" collection. This collection is part of March main kit from 3 Scrappy Boys. When I got my Trio kit, I just requested the patterned paper add-on. It was like getting a enormous kit with four paper collections.
With respect to the embellishments, the die cuts are Sassafras whimsies, the chipboard is from Melody Ross and it was misted with SC bluegrass mist. I applied Adirondack Dimensional Pearls "Espresso" to the butterflies. The flowers are from Prima. The white die cut containing the handwritten journaling is from the new Jillibean Soup "Chilled Strawberry" collection. The letters are from American Crafts. The brown button is from October Afternoon. The metal piece is from Little Yellow Bicycle "Twig"
I cannot leave without telling again to Karan that my term was an amazing one. I enjoyed so much. And I will be always grateful for this opportunity and for having me. Thank you!
Congrats and best wishes to the new design team!
You will love it, if not already! I will looking forward to see your creations, and I am very excited for the additional features that are in the making at Sketchabilities!
So keep tuned at Sketchabilities!
See you soon!
