Scrapbookers Anonymous has a new challenge for you! What we want you to do for this month is... to use 17 buttons on one layout. You can use more than 17, but there must be a minimum of 17.
I am a button junkie. I have jars of buttons sorted by colors, so this challenge was perfect to use my stash of red buttons. I was inspired to use red buttons from my red scarf at the photo.
This layout is the second part of this page. I had difficulties finding a title for this page, and "Tree Idol" was my first thought that came to my mind. Why? I still remember the excitement when I saw this tree for the first time. Maybe this excitement came from all the Hollywood movies filmed in NYC at christmas time. For me, the christmas tree at Rockefeller center wins the American Idol contest.
I wanted to use the red buttons all over the Crate Paper Snow Day collection patterned paper inspired by the white dots simulating snow. The purpose of the punched turquoise circles is to ground the red buttons in the tree patterned paper and to balance the layout with the turquoise title.
On Puerto Rico, the most famous tree is located at Plaza Las Americas Mall, and it is an indoor tree. This tree has a show of lights and music at different scheduled times from everyone to enjoy.
This is a photo of my kid this christmas with the "Mr. Christmas Tree Puerto Rico", taken on December 28, 2010.
If doing a contest of christmas trees, what do you think is the most famous christmas tree in the world? I would love to know about famous christmas trees. Please leave me a comment and links if possible, since I would love to know about famous christmas trees around different states and cities in the world!
