How was your christmas?!!! We had a lovely christmas, spent with family. On Christmas's eve, we went to my parent's house.
The novelty of the evening was that around 7pm, we felt a temblor of magnitude 5.4. We felt the house shaking, and a strange sound for around 3 seconds. This was my first time, feeling a temblor, so far. It was not a good experience.
Being positive, my family (DH and kids), my mom, my dad and my two sisters were all in the family room. We were just getting ready for dinner. This brings me comfort, just knowing that the people I love the most were together! The not so positive, was my reaction, I just got stoked. I did not move! Hoping that if something similar like this happens in the future, I would have a faster reaction. Just thinking, God creative's ways to remind us the important things of Christmas!
The dinner's menu: Rice with pigeon peas, pork, "morcilla", green plantains, "pasteles" and home-made "sangria". We had "Tres Leches" cake for dessert. Everything was delicious!
On the 25th, while the kids played with their new toys, my DH and me had a lazy day of caribbean winter! LOL! The menu was the leftovers from Christmas's eve.
I just wanted to share a page I did last week for Sketch Inspiration. This is sketch #155. The papers are from The Girls's Paperie, Tinsel & Twig. The doily and fabric flower are from Purple Pumpkin. I submitted this layout to The Scrap-Room Kit Club Week #51 challenge. I scraplifted the layout from Brenda Carpenter. I was inspired to use the quilted paper as background and to mat the photos with the black cardstock. My touch was to mat all the paper pieces to ease the paper busy's patterns.
On the top of the photos, there is an Elle's Studio journaling card.
The journaling says: Diego is playing with this medieval castle that Santa brought at grandma's house in Puerto Rico on December 25, 2009.
Just to remind you!
There is still time to participate in Scrapbookers-Anonymous December Challenge: Let get all those beautiful rub-ons to good use!
Have a nice day!
