Hi! This is my second post of the day! I created this layout yesterday for Scrapcetera November Challenge. Please, read until the end where I am telling you about a great giveaway provided by Scrapcetera Paper Kits!
Shannon challenged us with:
***to print out an enlarged photo and cut around it
***use at least 4 patterned papers
***use some stitching somewhere on your layout
***and hand journal
***and because everyone is encouraged to re-use, reduce and recycle -- re-use some packaging somewhere on your layout.
I took an old photo from JCPenney Studio, 11X13 and cut around it. The photo is from July, 2007, and it was not even stored in a frame. This fabulous photo from Diego was hidden in a big binder where I store my big and wallet photos.
I used sketch #128 from Creative Scrapper sketch site. I rotated the sketch! Can you see the resemblance?
I used three patterned papers from Lilybee Catching Fall collection, and one patterned paper from American Crafts Abode Collection! I used brown stitching at random on one of the page borders, between the felt flowers attached with metal brads. I hand journaled in one of the lilybee design catching fall stickers.
And I reuse some of the packaging such as Shannon did with her fabulous layout. I took the cardboard from the Pink Paislee brown letters that came with the kit, and used them to attach the title to create contrast. Everything is from the Scrapcetera Paper kit except the brown stitching and the brown ink to distress the packaging cardboard.
I won this November kit during a Scrapcetera Paper kit blog hop done on September. I am very glad that I received it, because it is really fabulous. It is really a great price for your money!!! And I am telling this from my heart, and this comments comes from a person that had bought and scrapped with a large variety of kit clubs as a consumer!
But you have the same opportunity, as I had to win a Scrapcetera November kit!! Sarah, the owner of Scrapcetera have a few more November kits featuring Lily bee Design Catching Fall line. If you do want one click on this link, with instruction of what you need to do! Good Luck!!
