Me, 20 years later

If had known then what I know now when I was in college:

  • I would worry less about minor things, enjoy life more,
  • I would exercise more,
  • I would study more,
  • I would take the summer's class to travel Europe, and would not mind the $3K+ loan.
  • I would eat and drink better i/o healthier,
  • I would manage my time better,
  • I would choose my friends better (so many learning experiences here!)
  • I would be happier, if I had known, what I know now, about life. But, I guess, this is life.
  • "Nadie aprende, por cabeza ajena".
Now, I see that scrapbooking and blogging can be a complement of each other. I did this layout without the help of a sketch!!!! Hurrah, for me!!!

I loved so much the results, that I decided to not add the journaling elements.
Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Prima Marketing Inc. Animal Bash Eager, Dear Lizzy American Crafts Spring Beehive Brunch (banner), Provo Craft Christina Cole Rainbow Stripes 2 (right flower with the square brad).
Chipboard: Pink Paislee, chipboard alphabet expressions Weathered Wood, Blackberry

  • stripes: Prima Animal bash paper used as background has fine stripes, however, I added the patterned paper from Christina Cole (pink stripes) in the flower located at the right side of the photo used as a focal point.
  • crown: I have a crown (white bling) in 1990's photo.
  • Two 3D elements or more: the butterflies, the flower, are 3D elements.
The Scrap-Room Blog: Week #21: Create a layout with overlapped photos.

Log Your Memory: Week #21: Journaling Prompt: If I had know then what I know now.... Even, I did not write the journaling at the layout, this prompt was the spark to create this layout, and the basis for the layout's title.

That's all!!! Wishing everyone a happy weekend!!! Welcome Summer!!!!!!

Pretty Boy

I created another layout from our last summer's trip to France. This time, it is my little D at Versailles Gardens (June 8, 2009). He is wearing a rain coat from The GAP store, located at Champs-Elysees avenue, by necessity. We did not expected, so much rain during our vacations. So bad, it was raining so much, that day, during our Versailles trip!! He never used this coat after the trip, when we returned home. I guess, he never like it!!! I do not wonder!

I will not miss waking up at 5am, for our morning commute. Really!!! A two months break, it is really nice!!!

Waiting...

You will not see it, in the photos. But, we were really impatient to get out from the cruise after 7 days. We wanted to go home. We had to wait for more than two hours at the cruise top deck, at a temperature higher than 85 F degrees, which is not pleasant at all. The kids ate a lot of ice cream, while waiting. We took photos just for doing something... We really enjoyed the trip, but, we wanted to return home. Photos were taken on July 27, 2008.
Supplies: Patterned Paper: American Crafts a la Carte (Chai, Sesame, Asiago)
Rub-ons: Cosmo Cricket
Chipboard: Lil Davis Design Tinseltown Chipboard Alphabet (color Ice)

Buttons: Manufacturer unknown

I created this layout with The ScrapRoom Blog Challenge sketch from Week #19, and color challenge from Design Dollies. The sketch was created by Julie Bonner.

The request from Design Dollies challenge was to create a project with a combination of yellow, black and turquoise.

I was very happy that my DH and me, were dressed with this beautiful color combination!!!
Happy Sunday!!!

Live well, Laugh often, Love much

I love this rhyme of Live well, Laugh often, Love much, since that makes me reflect that life is very simple, and sometimes we worry too much. That true happiness is within us!!!!! Today, I am sharing a layout, made according to sketch 198 from  Scrapbook Challenges ning site.

Here is my son spending time together with one of my aunts. She lives in central Florida. These photos document their first meeting on December, 2008 at my grandma's house. The family bonding was immediate, as it can be observed by my son's funny gestures.

The Sweet Life

I created this layout "The Sweet Life" according to The Scrap-Room Blog Weekly Challenge #17. The challenge was to create a layout with a food theme. I went to my stash of recent photos and picked these three. On February 7, 2010, we do not had anything planned, therefore my loving DH, prepared lunch. It was so nice to eat at the backyard. He prepared chicken with fresh baby spinach, several imported cheese and white wine. I love weekends, with family together, good food and good weather, and especially when I have a dear husband that loves to be creative at the kitchen and knows how to cook. I love cook's vacations!  Pure bliss!!!
Supplies: Patterned Paper: Basic Grey Green at Heart, Sticker: Stampin Up, Embellishments: Basic Grey, Cardstock: Bazzill

This layout follows sketch 4.22 from Sketchy Thursdays. Only that, I really did not post it on time.
