Currently

This s my first blog post since a long time. I was short of words, ie. so much to say, therefore I am writing in the format of Ali Edwards and Elise Blaha. Currently:
  • I live in New Jersey, specifically Central Jersey and I love it.
  • Planning the weekends around the Short Course Winter Season swim meets from my two sons. Grateful, they are doing super well!
  • Waiting for December when I can see my parents and sister.
  • Waiting for the letter of acceptance as a Substitute Teacher.
  • Evaluating returning to school to obtain a certificate as a Chemistry Teacher.
  • Making lists of items I wish for our next trip to IKEA.
  • Wishing to lose some weight, therefore I am planning to take some fitness classes in addition to the treadmill.
  • Unsure about which winter coat to buy, so many styles.

Layout | Spirit of New York at Madame Tussauds New York Museum

Hi! Today I have another scrapbook layout that features March 2013 Main Kit from 3 Scrappy Boys. This kit is filled with the beautiful collection from Jenni Bowlin "Modern Mercantile", a complete roll of Maya Road fabric tape, Basic Grey metal caps, American Craft "Sketchbook" alphabet thickers among so many other beautiful and versatile embellishments.

Here is the second of three layouts I had already created with the kit:
I love the feeling and colors of Modern Mercatile so much. So warm and fresh that I could not avoid to use it for our photos from our last trip to New York.

The only parts used that are not part of the kit are SU! craft whisper white ink and Ranger Stickles in Lime Green that were applied to Maya Road chipboad camera and the white cardstock used to mat the photo.

Some close-ups:
During Summer we went to New York just before returning to Puerto Rico. One of the day trips to New York was the visit to Madame Tussauds New York Museum. We had a lot of fun over there, even though we found this museum to be extremely expensive. One time is just enough.

Thanks for stopping by!

Layout | Yankees Stadium

Welcome to the weekend! Today I am sharing my take in the monthly sketch contest at PageMaps. I love Becky's sketches and this one is not an exception.
I used March 2013 Main kit from 3 Scrappy Boys. The Main kit features Jenni Bowlin Modern Mercantile. Love the colors from the patterned papers. All supplies came with the kit except the white cardstock used to mat the photo and the brown ink and the blue Copic marker used to color the veneer star. I love the Maya Road fabric tape that came with the kit. So many possibilities.

The photo shows my Dad and my two kids at the Yankees Stadium. This was before the start of the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees's game. Following a rain delay of more than 2 hours the Yankees lost the game 8 to 6. However, this was of my Dad's dream goals made possible {going to the Yankees's stadium and presence a game with his grandsons}. So happy that an activity was crossed off from the bucket list considering the surrounding circumstances.

Project Life 2013 | Week 7

Here is a look at our week 7. This week covers from February 11 to February 17. Valentine's Day was on Wednesday. You can see my weekly goals for Week 7, here. Here, you can see how I did it.

The complete spread:
There is lots of red on purpose. I used Simple Stories "Snap Life" 4X6 Journaling Card Elements #1 and two patterned papers from Authentique "Lovely". I added stickers for journaling, for embellishment (the sentiment sticker) and to describe the card used for the title.

This is the left side:
I added all the cards that my kids received at school from Valentine's Day. I found out that my DH is not in the spread. I forgot to take photos from all of us. On Wednesday, I prepared a delicious dinner, but I did not take the camera. Not good! Sometimes, life is so fast that I forget to keep those beautiful life's moments.

This is the right side:
You can see more Valentine's cards here, too. I used Design D divided sheet protectors since I had too many 4"X6" vertical photos. I included one self-portrait photo and the three photos in the bottom were taken during the weekend. I need to remind myself to take more landscape photos.

I am loving to browse my album and how it is coming together. So that's is for Week 7. How are you doing with Project Life?

I am linking to The Mom Creative.

Have a nice weekend!

Layout | Lago Luchetti

Today, I am sharing this layout made with Simple Stories "Take a Hike" collection. This layout is about the afternoon we spent at Lago Luchetti. This lake is located in Yauco, Puerto Rico. We went to see this beautiful lake while we stayed at Monte del Estado last November. We wanted to rent Kayaks but the only ones available belonged to the township. Those were only to be use by the township employees. So, sad!

The background consists from patterned paper  Happy Trails   and I used the 12 X 12 fundamental stickers for the embellishments. The alphabet is from the expression stickers included in this collection. I love that it includes four (4) different alphabet sets.

Thanks for stopping by!
